Marsh McLennan Receives Department of Defense Employer Awards

Marsh McLennan is honored to be this year’s recipient of the Pro Patria Award, recognizing outstanding support provided to Guard and Reserve colleagues.

The award is presented annually by each Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve state committee of the US Department of Defense and goes to one small, one large and one public sector employer in their state or territory. Recipients have demonstrated the greatest support to Guard and Reserve employees through their leadership and practices, including adopting personnel policies that make it easier for employees to participate in the National Guard and Reserve. This is the highest-level award that may be bestowed by an ESGR state committee.

Marsh McLennan has also been recognized with two additional employer awards: the Seven Seals Award, for leadership and initiative in support of guardsmen and reservists, and the Above and Beyond Award, for our efforts that extend beyond the typical support of this community.

We are accepting these awards on behalf of the more than 450 US military veterans, military reservists and National Guard members at Marsh McLennan. We take great pride in our colleagues and their work with clients and communities—and members of our military community offer a unique set of skills and insights that we would otherwise not have the privilege of offering to the clients and communities we serve.

We are dedicated to ensuring our veterans, reservists, guardsmen and their families are adequately supported by military leave options, aided by inclusive benefits and accessibility offerings and are championed by our Veterans business resource group.
